Turn Worry Into Worship…And Position Yourselves With Praise

"I will call upon the Lord, Who is worthy to be praised;
So shall I be saved from my enemies."
Psalm 18:3 NKJV

In II Chronicles, the people of God were about to be attacked by a huge group of enemies. There was no earthly hope for winning this war. It would require a miracle, and miracles only come from one Source.

When we find ourselves at war, we look to every source we can find. We buy music to fire us up. We read books by every faith-filled author we can find. We even wear Christian apparel to let the enemy know Whose side we are on (like he doesn’t already know.) Yet we neglect to do the one thing that God is really longing for His people to do-He wants us to give up immediately on our earthly sources and begin looking for miracles.

Some say that miracles do not happen today-I strongly disagree. They are happening all around us but most times we are to busy looking at our problems to see the miraculous provision of God. He was and is and will always be a God of Miracles! We need to stop trying to make His Word come to pass and instead let Him perform His marvelous deeds! We need to STOP WORRYING and START WORSHIPPING because His Word clearly says the answer is on the way.

II Chronicles 20 is a perfect example. With no hope in the natural, the leaders and people could have just sat down and waited to die-but they didn’t. Read the chapter some time. They immediately began to worship and look to God. They turned worry into worship and almost immediately began to get the REAL BATTLE PLAN from God. In II Chronicles 20:17, He tells them to position themselves and stand and see the salvation of the Lord Who was with them. They were told not to be afraid or dismayed but to go out against the enemy because the Lord was with them.

They did not have time to get together for a meeting or to take a vote. This was the test for them for that time…would they worry themselves into a place of peril or worship God for the promise before it ever came to pass? We fail there so many times. God promises us something, and we have to wait a bit so we start worrying. What a waste! If God has declared it, He will deliver it. Yet we do not want to worship until He makes the delivery. We’ve got to see it to believe it.

Oh people of God, lift up your hands in surrender to a God Who is Worthy if He never does another thing for you this side of eternity! Turn your worry into worship!

Then find your position-the place you are to be-and plant yourself there firmly. Position yourself in a place of victory, and REFUSE TO BE MOVED. Many times we loss the battle because we run back and forth and position ourselves here for a bit and there for a while. Do not be double-minded. Find your place, stay at your post, and begin your duty. That duty is PRAISE. The devil hates praise. He wants it for himself, and he certainly does not want God to have it. So give God a double-portion of your praise and be double-trouble for the enemy.

In II Chronicles 20:21, the people came together and appointed the singers to go out first singing to the Lord and praising the beauty of holiness. When they began to praise, God began to raise ambushes against the enemy and defeated them all. All it took was a plan, the will to stand, and songs of praise throughout the land.

Whatever battles you may be facing you can come out a winner by TURNING WORRY INTO WORSHIP AND POSITIONING YOURSELF WITH PRAISE!

Prayer:

Father God, so often we try to devise a plan to get us out of the battles we face when all the while You are speaking to our hearts telling us to find a place to stand and carry out the plan that You have for us.

Forgive us for the time we waste worrying. Help us to quiet our hearts and, in an attitude of worship,  just come to You. Your Word shows that You will give us the plan and that it will not fail. Help us to be worshipers rather than worriers, and lift up our praises to You at all times!

Thank You for the victory that is ours through Christ Jesus!

In Jesus’ Name!

Amen!
